Welcome to Energy Needs Ireland’s (ENI) new website, here we will keep you up to date with our current projects and research.
The current ENI 2013 group will be investigating some of the following topics throughout the summer in an attempt to develop our opinions on Smart Grid implementation in Ireland.
- Gauging public opinion regarding Smart Grid issues.
- Informing the public of essential information that they need to know about the Smart Grid.
- Recommending the best way to implement the Smart Grid in Ireland by learning from the successes and failures of international case studies.
- An innovative approach to the Smart Grid including analysis of governmental policies, infrastructure and forecasting technologies.
- Interconnection and integration of the Irish grid to GB or mainland Europe from the perspective of the Irish economy and consumer.
- Considering how the thermal & fuel energy networks may be made more efficient by minimizing waste from the grid.
- Analysing data which is generated from the grid with an entrepreneurial outlook.
With an unbiased perspective, we will deduce the ways in which the Smart Grid can benefit Ireland to its full potential based on the topics listed above.
